Uncle Daniel came for a visit

Uncle Daniel came for a visit today, and we had a great time... he held me and played with me, I enjoyed it so much, that I smiled a lot with him. Can't wait to meet my Uncle Ian, I hear he is a lot of fun too!!

Mi Tio Daniel vino de visita hoy y nos divertimos mucho juntos.. el me tenia en brazos por un largo tiempo y jugo conmigo, lo disfrute tanto que le sonrei bastante! Ya quiero conocer a mi Tio Ian tambien, pues he escuchado que es bien chevere tambien!!

My first trip :: Mi primer viaje

This last weekend I went to Madison, WI with my parents. It was my first trip outside Iowa and we went to visit dear friends, and for me to meet them, who actually were many people!!!! I met grown-ups but also little people like me: Rumi, Naomi, Naim, and Shawn. Here are few pictures... the little one in some of them is Rumi, with whom I went for a pumpkin patch and apple picking afternoon! :)

Este pasado fin de semana fui de visita a Madison, Wisconsin junto a mis padres. Fue mi primer viaje afuera de Iowa y fuimos a ver a nuestros queridos amigos alli, para que asi los conozca y vaya que eran muchos!!! Conoci a grandes y tambien gente pequeñita como yo: Rumi, Naomi, Naim y Shawn. Aqui pueden ver algunas fotos, la chiquitita en algunas de ellas es Rumi, con quien fui a cosechar manzanas y calabazas por la tarde! :)

News :: Novedades

There are many news from me, I have learned to recognized my parents -I actually smile at them and they love it! And also I am kind of figuring out that I have a hand, or two, still can't really control it, sometimes I try to do something and I just end up banging myself with it!! But nevertheless I have learned many things, I am discovering that I have a voice, that I can make more sounds that the oh and ah I knew from week two of my life, and of course, I can scream and cry loud now, so loud that sometimes I am surprised myself -what to say about my parents and their faces when I do that!! Also, three days ago during my sleep I started laughing, but I can't remember what I laughed about, I am sure I will enjoy laughing about many things in life, so I am looking forward to a real laugh soon! Well, that is about me, how about you??? Have you ever wondered why you got two hands? not one, three of ten?? Or, do you know why we laugh or cry? Someday I will discover the answers to those questions... in the mean time, it is time to have some food!!

Hay muchas novedades mias, como ser: ya reconozco a mis padres -al menos ya les sonrio y a ellos les encanta eso! Tambien me estoy dando cuenta de que tengo una mano, o dos, pero aun no la puedo controlar... a veces trato de hacer algo con ella y termino golpeandome a mi misma!! De todos modos, he aprendido muchas cosa, estoy descubriendo que tengo una voz y que puedo hacer mas sonidos de los ohs y ahs que hacia desde mi segunda semana de vida, y obvio que tambien he descubierto que se gritar y llorar fuerte, tan fuerte a veces que me sorprendo yo misma -ni hablar de mis padres, hay que ver sus caras cuando lo hago!! Tambien, hace tres dias atras que mientras dormia comence a reir, pero no recuerdo de que reia, seguro si que disfrutare de reir de muchas cosas en esta vida, asi que estoy ansiosa de tener algo bueno para reir de verdad! Bueno, esas son mis novedades, y que tal ustedes??? Alguna vez se han preguntado por que tienen dos manos? y no una, tres o diez?? O bien, saben por que reimos o lloramos? Algun dia descubrire las respuestas a aquellas preguntas... mientras tanto, es hora de ir a comer!!

Camp :: Campamento

El sabado fuimos a un parque y nos encontramos con que en el parque habia un campamento... pero el campamento es como lo era en el tiempo de la conquista de norteamerica, asi que los que acampaban estaban vestidos de indios o de ingleses, vivian en tiendas o carpas y tenian que hacer sus propias comidas a la leña. Tenian artesanias y juegos, uno podia usar el arco para darle al blanco, y lo mejor de todo es que habian muchos niños. Mis papis me dieron un tour por el campamento y luego nos fuimos a sentarnos a la orilla del rio, el dia era bellisimo, con sol y una brisa calientita, asi que mientras mi Papi armaba una caja de baterias, mi Mami y yo jugamos sobre la grama!! A proposito, veran una foto donde muestra como he comenzado a hacer burbujas con mi boquita! Y es un arte que ya lo estoy masterando ;)

Last Saturday we went to a park and found that at this park there was a camp... it was a settlers' camp though, so people were dressed as indians or settlers, living in tents or tipis, and they had to prepare their own food outdoors. They had crafts and games, one could try the bow & arrow, and the best of all is all the kids that were running around! My parents gave me a tour through the camp and then we went to sit by the river, the day was beautiful, sunny and with a warm breeze. So while my Dad was making a box for a battery, my Mom and I played on the grass!! Actually, you may see a picture here of me making bubbles with my mouth! It is an art that I am already mastering ;)

If I want to go somewhere by car, I have to go in a car-seat! Here are pictures of how my parents place me in this special seat!!
