Un mes :: One month

Can you believe that it has been one month already that I am in this world? Well, time flies by in here! When I was in my Mom's womb time felt passing by slow, it felt I was there an eternity although they said I was there less than 10 months. Everyday they seemed long months while I was developing, it is not easy to grow in a place with so little light you know, but let me tell you that in there it was warmer and pleasent than here, this outside world has lots of challenges for me, I feel hunger and cold, or heat and tiredness, also I feel tommy aches if I don't eat on time or if there are some gases in the wrong place! Oh but I am very happy to be here, my parents are the greatest and they love me very much, I am so happy to be with them and feel their hugs and kisses!!

To celebrate my month anniversary we went for a hike on Saturday to a nature park, at the beginning of the trail there was a center so we entered and saw a bee hive, as well as a house for maple suger, among other things. Today in the morning we hosted the devotional meeting at the Baha'i Center and my parents prepared a program dedicated to children's education. Here are some of my pictures!

Pueden creer que ya hace un mes que estoy en este mundo? Pues el tiempo vuela por aqui, cuando estaba en el vientre de mi Mami me parecio largo y eterno, aunque dicen que solamente estuve alli menos de 10 meses, pero todos los dias me parecieron como largos meses o años mientras me desarrollaba, no es facil crecer en un lugar con tan poca luz, pero les aviso que alli adentro es mas calientito y rico que por aqui, este mundo de afuera tiene muchos desafios, uno siente hambre y frio, o calor y cansancio, ademas de dolor de panza si no se come a tiempo o si hay unos gases atravesados! Eso si, estoy contenta de estar aqui, mis padres son lo maximo y me quieren tanto, que estoy feliz de estar con ellos y sentir sus besos y abrazos!!

Para festejar mi mes nos fuimos de paseo el sabado a un parque, a la entrada de ese parque habia un centro de vida salvaje, asi que vimos una colmena de abejas, una casa donde se hace azucar del arbol de "maple", entre otras cosas. Hoy dia en la mañana tuvimos oraciones en el centro Baha'i y mis padres fueron los anfitriones, quienes prepararon un programa dedicado a la educacion de los niños. Aqui van algunas fotos mias!

Four weeks last Thursday!

Time flies by, I became four weeks last Thursday and on Sunday I will be one month!! I have learned how to smile and how to lock my eyes into other people's eyes, so that way I can show my love to my parents and also connect with those who come in front of me. I have some toys that have figures in black and white, I am sure that they have helped me to develop my eye skills!!

El tiempo vuela y ya cumpli cuatro meses el pasado jueves y este domingo cumplire un mes!! He aprendido a sonreir y a conectar mis ojos con los de otras personas, asi puedo demostrar a mis padres cuanto los quiero y tambien conectarme con aquellas personas que estan en frente mio. Tengo algunos juguetes con figuras en blanco y negro, estoy segura que estos me han ayudado a desarrollar estas capacidades!!

** Three weeks already **

Am I growing or my clothes are shrinking?? :: Estoy creciendo yo o mis ropitas se estan encogiendo??



Yes! I am three weeks and growing quite well, we are going to check my growth on Monday, but at home my parents measured me and I am already 22 1/2 inches and Mom tried to check my weight at the grocery store and I was 10 3/4 pounds!! Actually my new born clothes are no longer fitting me, and that is another good sign ;)

SI!!! Tengo tres semanas y he crecido mucho, veremos cuanto exactamente el lunes, pero en casa mis papis trataron de medirme y ya tengo 57.15 cm y mi Mami trato de pesarme en la tienda de frutas y tenia unos 4,880 Kg!! Hasta mis ropitas de recien nacida ya no me entran y esa es otra buena señal de mi crecimiento ;)

Mi Abuelita Carmen

Pues llego la hora de despedir a mi Abuelita Carmen, quien vino despues de la boda de mi Tia Nahid a esperar que viniera a este mundo y ayudar a mi Mami en todo, para que asi ella y mi Papi me pudieran disfrutar! Vamos a extrañarla mucho, se va este sabado, pero ojala pronto vayamos a visitarla y a conocer a toda mi familia en Bolivia. Aqui van fotos de hoy con ella, aprovechando el solcito que hay afuera.

Well, time came to farewell my Grandma Carmen who came after my Auntie Nahid's wedding to wait for my arrival to this world and to help my Mom with everything, so she and my Dad had time to enjoy me! We will surely miss her, she leaves on Saturday, but hopefully soon we will go to visit her and to meet all my family in Bolivia. Here are some pictures with her today, taking advantage of the outside sun.

Here are some pictures of the weekend, and you can see I was the center of attention... I am very lucky to have all these grown-ups caring about me! :)
I played a lot, also did some reading of my favorite book with my Auntie, and we went out for a walk at the park while my Dad and Aunt went disc-golfing. On Sunday night my Grandma Carmen and Dad treated everyone with a chocolate fountain and fruits, and of course I got some through my Mom's milk! yuuuummmmm!!!

Aqui van algunas fotos del fin de semana, pueden ver que yo fui el centro de atencion... tengo tanta suerte de tener a tantos adultos que se preocupan por me! :)
Jugue mucho, tambien lei mi libro favorito con mi Tia, y fuimos a una caminata al parque mientras mi Papi y Tia fueron a jugar disc-golf. El domingo en la noche mi Abuelita Carmen y mi Papi prepararon la fuente de chocolates y frutas para la despedida, y claro, yo tambien comi a traves de la leche de mi Mami! mmmm!!!

Auntie Ruhiyyih

Last Friday I met my Aunt Ruhiyyih for the first time! She is my Dad's youngest sister, and only sister, so she is my only Ame (that is Persian, means aunt on the father side). We had a great time together, she hold me and played with me that weekend, also my Grandma Nancy and Greatgrandma Schwartz came with my Aunt, and all together we enjoyed great food and company!

El viernes pasado conoci a mi Tia Ruhiyyih por primera vez! Ella es la hermana menor de mi Papi, y su unica hermana, asi que es mi unica Ame (eso en Persa quiere decir tia de parte de padre). Nos divertimos mucho juntas, ella me cargaba y jugaba conmigo durante su estadia del fin de semana, a proposito vino con mi Abuelita Nancy y Bisabuela Schwartz, asi que todos la pasamos muy bien aquellos dias!

Today I am two weeks!

Today at about 10:00 am when my Mom changed my diapers she found my umbilical cord fallen... so now I have a cute belly button!! :)

Hoy a eso de las 10:00 am cuando mi Mami me cambio los pañales, se dio cuenta que mi cordon umbilical se habia caido... asi que ahora tengo un lindo ombliguito!! :)
