Growing :: Creciendo
El tiempo pasa volando y yo sigo creciendo, ya tambien me muevo mas y tengo mas horas de interaccion con el mundo que me rodea. Sigo durmiendo mis tres o cuatro siestitas durante el dia, pero ya no son tan largas, excepto la del medio dia! Tambien ya mis papis me tienen que poner cinturon en los diferentes asientos y juegos que tengo, sino me puedo caer o salir de ellos... como en estas fotos, donde veran que me estoy resbalando con tanto movimiento hasta el borde de mi asiento!! Mi Mami me estaba cuidando si, asi que no me hubiera caido para nada ;) Aun no me doy la vuelta, pero me muevo tanto que un dia dare la gran sorpresa!!

Time is flying by and I keep on growing, I also move more and have more hours of being alert of what surrounds me. I still have my three or four naps during the day, but they are not that long anymore, except the one at noon! My parents have to strap me now a days, at the various seats or toys I have, because if not, I may fall with all my new movements... as you may see in these pictures, I moved so much that I sled down the bouncer! Of course Mom was watching me, I was very safe ;) I still don't turn or roll, but I am so active that one day I will surprise everyone!!

Helping my Mom :: Ayudando a mi Mami
Today I helped my Mom with her sewing. She was showing me a piece she made, a long green string, and of course, the colors were bright and attractive, so I grabbed the piece and put it in my mouth so fast, that my Mom got shocked, laughed and run for the camara! Thanks to me we have tested the fabric, it is child proof and the colors don't run ;)

Hoy ayude a mi Mami con su costura. Ella me estaba mostrando un pedazo que habia costurado, un pedazo largo de color verde, que claro me llamo la atencion, asi que lo agarre e inmediatamente lo puse en mi boca, tan rapido que la asuste a mi Mami, luego se rio y corrio a traer la camara! Gracias a mi hemos examinado la tela, sabemos que es a prueba de niños y los colores no se despintan ;)

Cozy :: Calientito
El fin de semana la pasamos en casa, hacia mucho frio afuera (alrededor de 10 bajo cero) y los tres la pasamos en cama, viendo peliculas o haciendo proyectos en lo calientito! Aqui estoy con mi Mami, en una mañana de esas flojitas y ricas para quedarse durmiendo no mas ;)

This last weekend we stayed at home, it was cold outside (around 15 - 20 F) and we three enjoyed staying later in bed, watching movies and/or working in projects in a cozy house! Here I am with my Mom, one lazy morning, yummy to spend it in bed ;)
Getting stronger :: Volviendome mas fuerte
Hacer ejercicios en el gimnasio esta dando grandes resultados!! Aqui me ven queriendo como gatear -claro que todavia falta mucho para eso, pero ya me estoy estirando y levantando la cabeza y las piernas y como queriendo impulsarme para adelante, pero todavia no se como.

Working out in the gym is starting to yield fruits! Here you can see me almost wanting to crawl -of course that there is a long way for that still, but I am stretching well, I can put my head and legs up and I kind of want to propell myself forward, but I still have no idea how to do so.

Gym :: Gimnasio
I have been working out every day and the gym is helping me to develop my skills and senses. Actually today I was trying to pull this bug towards me and I ended up doing lots of abdominal exercises, I was very tired at the end, and the bug didn't come off the arch either! I will keep trying.

He estado haciendo ejercicios todos los dias y este gimnasio me esta ayudando a desarrollar mis capacidades y sentidos. Hoy dia estuve tratando de sacar esta peta y la jalaba hacia mi, termine haciendo muchos abdominales y quede cansada al final, y esa peta no se salio del arco! Asi que seguire insistiendo!!

This week I have been working hard exercising my tummy, back and using my senses. My hands are getting strong and I am noticing things around me and grabbing them, and if I can, I take them to my mouth -as you already know!
My parents got me this very nice gym to work out and I've been doing great, especially working my back muscles, which will help me to roll over soon. I am starting to try rolling, but I guess I have to still practice until I get there! Today my Mom took a picture of me noticing those little ribbons on my wrists, which I tried all morning to grab or put them in my mouth, so she took a picture of me, she thought that was cool, considering that they are small and not too easy to notice.

Esta semana he estado trabajando duro sobre mi pancita, espalda y utilizando mis sentidos. Mis manos estan mas fuertes y ya me doy cuenta de cosas alrededor mio, trato de agarrarlas y si puedo, las llevo a la boca -como se imaginaran!
Mis padres me consiguieron este gimnasio para hacer ejercicios y lo estoy disfrutando mucho, especialmente ejercitando mis musculos de la espalda, los cuales me ayudaran para dar vuelta, lo cual he comenzado a intentar hacer, pero aun me falta mucho para logarlo! Hoy mi Mami me tomo una foto cuando miraba a la cinta en mis mangas, todo el dia trate de agarrarlas y ponerlas en mi boca, asi que ella saco una foto pues penso que era interesante, considerando que son tan pequeñas para que alguien como yo las perciba!

Madison
Last weekend we went to Madison to visit Uncle Hadi and Auntie Lua, and be there for their baby's party and shower of gifts! I can't wait to meet that little one, will be smaller than me!! :) I had a wonderful time at their place and played with my friend Rumi, she let me use her walker and I thought it was quite fun, as well as the mobile Auntie Lua has, which amazed me every time it started moving.
We left on Friday night and I slept all the way there. On Saturday it snowed all day, and on Sunday we had the baby shower at the Vestlie's home. My parents got pictures of the shower at the end, since they were busy enjoying visiting with friends and playing games.
On Saturday night we all celebrated my Dad's birthday at Auntie Khadijih and Uncle Gino's house, it was really nice! We left on Sunday, right after the party, and again I slep the whole drive back to Cedar Rapids. I liked this trip very much, I look forward to my next travel!!

Ya pronto vendra su bebe y sera mas pequeñito/a que yo! :) La pase muy bien por alla y jugue con mi amiguita Rumi, ella me presto su andador y me parecio divertido sentarme alli. Tambien me encantaron los animalitos que se movian de la Tia Lua, queria tocarlos cada vez que se movian!
Salimos de casa el viernes y yo me quede dormida todo el camino de ida. El sabado nevo todo el dia y el domingo tuvimos la fiesta para el bebe en casa de los Vestlies. Mis padres sacaron fotos al final de la fiesta, pues estaban ocupados charlando con sus amigos y jugando juegos.
El sabado por la noche celebramos todos el cumpleaños de mi Papi en casa de mis tios Khadijih y Gino, realmente nos divertimos! Salimos de Madison el domingo, ni bien termino la fiesta y de nuevo dormi todo el camino hasta Cedar Rapids! Me gusto el viaje, esta vez fue mas corto y estoy ansiosa de volver a viajar!!

Mes 3 Months
I just turned three months last Friday 30th, and all is well with me. We are busy with my parents (especially my Mom, who is with me all day) so we haven't been very good with updating our blogs... but here you have a couple of pictures from Friday ;)

Acabo de cumplir tres meses el pasado viernes 30 y todo va bien por aqui. Andamos ocupados con mis padres (en especial con mi Mami, con quien estoy todo el dia) asi que no hemos tenido tiempo de actualizar nuestros blogs... pero aqui van un par de fotos del viernes pasado ;)

Thanksgiving
Well, after so much traveling anyone would be exausted, right? especially a little girl like me I would say! I was so tired of my carseat that as soon as we arrived to my GG's house I felt like relaxing on the couch, having fun with all my aunts, uncles and cousins while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner! After a while though I had enough of laying down and decided I wanted to sit up, I love sitting up straight and of couse, I need some help, but I can sit up pretty good now.

Pues despues de tanto viajar cualquiera quedaria re-cansado, no? especialmente una chiquitita como yo! Yo estaba tan cansada de estar en ese asiento, que ni bien llegamos a la casa de mis bisabuelitos me fui a relajar sobre el sillon, y me diverti con todos mis tios y primos mientras esperabamos la cena de Accion de Gracias! Despues de un tiempo tambien me canse de estar recostada y decidi que queria sentarme. Me encanta estar sentada bien derechita y claro, aun necesito algo de ayuda, pero me las puedo ingeniar muy bien para hacerlo casi sola ;)

Asi que aqui estan unas cuantas fotos. Como me hubiera gustado tener mas fotos y con todos los tios y primos que conoci, pero esto es lo que recibi via email (acuerdense que mis padres no tomaron fotos) asi que ojala que me manden mas en estos dias y yo las pueda poner en el blog.
The day after Thanksgiving my two great uncles, Joe and John (Grandma Nancy's brothers) came for a visit with Auntie Mary Jane and Ariane. We had a lovely evening and everyone was happy visiting and sharing stories. I was of course the smallest one, so I had not so many things to share but my aahs and guus.

El dia despues de Accion de Gracias mis dos tios abuelos, Joe y John (los hermanos de mi abuelita Nancy) vinieron de visita junto a la tia Mary Jane y Ariane. La pasamos muy lindo esa noche, charlando e intercambiando anecdotas. Como yo era la mas chiquitia, no tenia tanto para compartir excepto mis aaahs y gugus ;)

New achievement :: Nuevo logro
While visiting my great grandparents, I was able to reach a new goal in learning! With GG Eady I was playing on Friday 23rd and grabbing things she will hand me, and all of a sudden I see myself grabbing a rattle and putting it in my mouth! What an experience!! It was for sure a new taste, kind of tasteless I would say, but if felt great! I hear that at my age that is how we learn things, putting everything in the mouth, and that is my plan now, learn everything and therefore, put everything into taste!!

Mientras visitaba a mis bisabuelitos pude alcanzar otra meta en mi proceso de aprendizaje! Con mi bisabuelita Eady estaba jugando el viernes 23 y agarrando todo lo que ella me daba y de pronto me vi agarrando un sonajero y llevandolo a mi boca! Que gran experiencia!! Fue un nuevo sabor les digo, medio desabrido el sonajero si, pero se sintio biensisimo! Me han dicho que a mi edad es asi como aprendemos cosas: poniendolas en la boca; asi que ese es mi plan ahora, aprender todo y por lo tanto, pasar todo por mi boca!!

Mis tios Nahid & Naysan organizaron para nosotros un Open House, en especial para mi, pues yo soy la mas chiquitita y a quien todos querian conocer!
